John,
If you don’t know the name Ron Bloom, you should. He’s one of the biggest obstacles to getting rid of Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.
Bloom is currently the chair of the US Postal Service Board of Governors. His term expired last year, so he’s serving in a holdover year, and he’s up for reappointment in December.
It’s up to President Biden to replace him. Bloom has repeatedly backed Louis DeJoy, even as DeJoy has implemented plans to slow mail service, jeopardized voting by mail and come under federal investigation for a straw donor scheme. Bloom even has his own conflict of interest, just like DeJoy: DeJoy reportedly bought $305,000 in bonds from Bloom’s investment firm.
The USPS Board of Governors has the power to fire Louis DeJoy. But with Bloom leading the board and defending DeJoy, they’ve refused to do so.
That’s why Bloom has to go. If you agree, join us in calling on President Biden to replace Bloom.
If you want to see Louis DeJoy fired and the Postal Service restored, then Bloom has to go first. President Biden must replace him.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
