I don’t like this one bit. The longer we have to wait for new Congressional maps from Georgia Republicans, the more we suspect that they’re up to something sinister.

Since they started their special session on November 3rd, we’ve seen new maps for the State House and State Senate districts, but no new Congressional maps yet. My team and I are very aware that they could be plotting to draw me out of Congress. We have to be ready for any outcome with these new maps.

So, we’re setting an Emergency Response Goal of raising $25,000 as quickly as we can to be ready for every possible scenario here.

As a reminder, all of the redistricting experts and pundits have said my seat is a top target for Republicans in 2022, and could be key for their plans to take back control of the House and reinstall Kevin McCarthy as Speaker.

I just spoke with my Finance Director Liz and she said our grassroots fundraising is really starting to slow with the holiday season coming up, just at the wrong time while we’re waiting on these new maps!
