We know that no one group of people is a monolith. No matter where we grew up or where we live, we are nuanced and unique and, in our optimistic view, filled with more hope than fear, more love than hate. Yes, sometimes we get a little pissed off, but sometimes families bicker.

We the people of this country should disagree about many things, because democracy requires that, but this beautiful multiracial nation is one where we all need jobs, we all need better health care, and we all need a planet that will last for all the generations to come.
