Dear John,
Hope is an amazing thing. Like the hardiest plant, it can grow in the most difficult places and circumstances.
And that’s why I want to share Janette’s story from Rwanda today with you. Because hope is growing in her community.
For years, her community in Rwamagana struggled with poverty, unemployment, malnourishment, and all the social issues that follow those struggles.
Janette says:
“Our community was very down, with children’s growth stunted and high levels of alcohol abuse, particularly amongst the men.”
That was until she got involved in the Women’s Self-Help Empowerment Groups, which generous supporters like you have helped provide.
The effect not just on Janette, but on her whole community, has been amazing:
“What AE has done for our community has lifted us up, empowered women, given the men hope – and the teaching of AE has spread throughout the community!”
John, your support for development programs such as the Women’s Self-Help Empowerment Groups can help reach more communities across Africa like Janette’s, so they see God’s love in Word and Deed.
In Christ,
Ben Campbell
