Dear Colorado Republicans,

To those of you still curing ballots or otherwise finishing up work in local elections -- thank you!! We couldn't win the victories we won across the state without our candidates, our volunteers, our clubs and activists, and also good poll watchers and dedicated public servants who facilitate elections.

Our Centennial Dinner last weekend was a great celebration with Senators Hank Brown, Wayne Allard, and Cory Gardner. It was also a preview of our 2022 elections and what we must do to win next year. Please continue to spread the message contained in our Commitment to Colorado, and especially our "Big Three" vision points as Republicans. (www.commitment2colorado.com ([link removed]) ).

It was great to visit with Republicans in Adams, El Paso, and Pueblo counties recently. Let's continue to build strong, united teams that can win targeted seats because we engage more people and more communities together.

Have a great weekend, and thank you again to all our veterans who have served so well.

Blessings,

Chairwoman | Colorado GOP

** Bombshell report reveals how Colorado's Democratic governor avoided paying taxes
------------------------------------------------------------
[link removed]
Axios: ([link removed]) Colorado's Democratic Gov. Jared Polis is under fire after a new trove of documents ([link removed]) revealed he used loopholes to avoid paying federal income taxes for years.

Driving the news: A ProPublica report published Thursday found Polis, a tech entrepreneur and former congressman, used donations and financial arrangements to get out of paying federal income taxes in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
....

The other side: ProPublica's report drew criticism from across the political spectrum.
* "This is a shocking investigation into Jared Polis' real background. No wonder he has worked so hard to hide these facts from Colorado voters," state GOP chairwoman Kristi Burton Brown said in a statement.

Election results in Aurora a “gut punch” to recently ascendant progressives on city council
[link removed]
Denver Post: ([link removed]) After two election cycles that moved the Aurora City Council increasingly to the left, voters last week decidedly turned the political dial back in the opposite direction in Colorado’s third-largest city.

Voters on Tuesday put into office conservative or moderate candidates in three open seats, delivering what Juan Marcano, one of the more outspoken progressive members of Aurora’s 11-member council, called a “gut punch” to those hoping city leadership was on an inexorable leftward tack.

Gone — at least for the next two years — are any meaningful police reform efforts, legal defense measures for immigrants or ordinances allowing on-site consumption of marijuana, he said. In their place, Marcano said, Mayor Mike Coffman’s proposal to ban urban camping will likely re-emerge and prevail in 2022.
