John, Val is right — we need to act on climate change urgently if we’re going to preserve our planet for future generations.

In fact, a recent United Nations report said that we’re seeing unprecedented changes in our climate system, and this summer alone, one in three Americans experienced a severe weather disaster related to the climate crisis.

If we’re going to mitigate the worst impacts of climate change, we must act boldly and we must act now.

But Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are more worried about special interests like the fossil fuel industry than looking at the science, data and facts and admitting that climate change is a public health emergency.
