Police Foundation [[link removed]]

I attended the 13th Annual Houston Police Foundation Fundraiser over the weekend. One item that caught my attention was the new police dog. It can open doors, search buildings and do other dangerous work, saving police lives. We raised over $200,000 to purchase one for HPD, plus hundreds of thousands more for the department. Meeting with the San Antonio Police Officers Association

San Antonio Police Officers Association [[link removed]]

I had a great meeting with the San Antonio Police Officers Association on Monday. I will always have the backs of our brave law enforcement and will continue to give them the support they need to keep our great state and its citizens safe. I am proud to have the endorsement of the San Antonio Police Officers Association.

Crime Stoppers [[link removed]]

I attended the Crime Stoppers of Houston Gala on Sunday evening. They are leading the way to a safer Houston. There was a panel discussion with three families whose loved ones were murdered by felons out on multiple bonds, absolutely heartbreaking. I am proud that the Texas Senate passed Bail Reform legislation this year that will keep many violent offenders off the streets.

In Harris County alone, 149 people have been murdered by people charged with serious offenses and others with a long list of prior convictions out on a personal recognizance bond over the last 12-18 months. We must replace the judges who continue to let serious criminals out in the streets.

Officer Sherman Benys

Officer Beny [[link removed]]

On Tuesday I attended the funeral of Kingsville Police Officer Sherman Benys. He was killed responding to a domestic violence call. He left a wife, 3 children, a mom, many family members and friends behind.

We have lost over 50 members of law enforcement in the line of duty since 2015. I try to attend as many funerals as possible. The families need to know that Texas supports them, shares in their heartbreak, and honors those who make the ultimate sacrifice for us.

Texas Hits Back Against Biden's Unconstitutional Vax Mandates

Vax Mandates [[link removed]] [[link removed]]

Last week, the state of Texas sued the Biden administration for their private-employer vaccine mandate. On Saturday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary halt to the mandate — a huge victory for Texans!

I'm vaccinated, and I encourage others to get vaccinated. But each person should do their own research and make their own decision. As I have consistently said before, this decision should be left up to the individual — NOT the government.

As it stands, small businesses are still trying to recover from the Democrat-led COVID lockdowns. This burdensome vaccine mandate would hurt small businesses and Americans trying to provide for their families. No one should lose their job, career, or pension because they do not want to take a vaccination that they have serious concerns about.

America First Policy Institute Reception & Gala

American First Policy Gala [[link removed]]

I attended the America First Policy Institute Gala on Thursday night at Mar-a-Lago. Over 500 people attended, including several Texas Senators — Bryan Hughes, Donna Campbell, Brandon Creighton and Dawn Buckingham, with President Trump as keynote. I was honored to be invited to sit with and visit with the President at the dinner.

Always great to speak to conservatives across Texas. I had the pleasure of speaking to the Bulverde Spring Branch Republicans this week. They are motivated and are working hard to keep Texas red.

My Official Statement on Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr.'s Retirement

I was saddened to learn that Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr., D-Brownsville, will retire at the end of his current term. What I admire most is his deep and abiding faith. He is a true man of God. His brave defense of innocent life in the womb, often standing up to criticism from his own party, was a testament to his faith. He has sent almost-daily prayers to me for most of our 14-year friendship.

He has always had the courage to put the interests of his district over those of his party and above national politics. His wisdom, experience and tremendous legislative ability will be sorely missed during future legislative sessions. You can read my full statement here. [[link removed]]

Biden's Border Crisis Continues...

Border Crisis [[link removed]]

Despite White House stumbling and bumbling, President Biden's wish of huge cash payouts to illegal immigrants is about to come true. Biden says he is 'perfectly comfortable' using our taxpayer dollars to pay illegal immigrants up to $1 million after they cross the border. We cannot let this happen. Join my campaign to fight the madness! [[link removed]]

Endorsed by the Houston Police Officers' Union PAC

HPOU Endorsement [[link removed]]

I am honored to have the endorsement of the Houston Police Officers' Union PAC. I will always stand with and support our brave law enforcement officers. God bless the men and women who wear the uniform. Click here to read the press release. [[link removed]]

Stay tuned for more endorsements in the coming weeks.

Honoring Our Veterans

Veterans Day [[link removed]]

Honoring all who serve and have served this Veterans Day. Thank you for your strength, courage, and sacrifice.

It's probably because we keep turning conservative policy into conservative legislation that the Democrats are trying to defeat me at the ballot box. The Democrats will stop at nothing to defeat me in 2022. I hope I can count on your financial support of $5-10-25 or more today.
