Dear John,

As the nights get longer and the days get (much) shorter, and as we continue to take a breath and a pause after a long, contentious election, I want to know how you’re doing. What’s your favorite fall food? What’s been bringing you joy? How are you resting?

I just spent a weekend in the woods without my cell phone, and last night my partner and I stocked our freezers with 80 homemade dumplings (email me back for a recipe!). I’m also going to take a pause on writing this newsletter for a few weeks - but check your inboxes in the new year for new stories and ways to stay involved in our movements.

Until then, stay connected by gathering for (virtual) celebration and community at TakeAction’s annual People’s Celebration on Saturday, December 11. You can get early bird tickets at a discounted price through this Friday; reserve your spot now. I can’t wait to see you there!

Take care,
Jessie

P.S. If you’re in the Twin Cities, I’d also love to see you at the People’s Happy Hour at Fair State Brewing next Thursday, November 18. $1 from each beer sale will fuel our state-wide organizing work. If you can’t make it, you can still support our movement - make your Give to the Max Day donation now, and know that your contribution helps grow strong communities.
