Hi,

Congress passed an infrastructure bill, but the fight isn't over. It's
time to mobilize to support a good paid family leave program as part of
the Build Back Better agenda.

The US is the only post-industrialized country without paid family leave.
That means that during times when families need job security the most,
they don't have it. We can't throw families out into the cold just because
Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema want to cut spending.

Paid family and medical leave allows us to heal, recover, and be there for
our family, whether it's a new baby who has just smiled for the first time
or a parent taking their last breath. It's how we take care of each other
and ourselves.

It's also crucial to how we recover from the pandemic. Without paid family
leave millions of people had to leave the workforce to take care of
themselves and their families, especially women. We can't build an
economic recovery that doesn't level the playing field for women and
communities of color.

The negotiations during these next few weeks are critical. Congress needs
to pass a good paid family leave plan. Can you speak up now?
