John,

We’ve been searching for over a year and are excited to finally introduce you to four exceptional military veterans. Today we are announcing them as our first slate of SAP Challenger Candidates running for Congress.

These candidates are running in some of the most important races in the country.

Bottom line: if Democrats want to hold the house: these are the races that matter.

Here are our new Challenger endorsees who you can support right now:

Joseph Rocha (CA-50)
Joseph joined the Navy on his eighteenth birthday, quickly advancing to become a bomb dog handler, tracking down explosives in the Persian Gulf. After he was discharged under Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, he became an advocate for repeal, swearing he would re-enlist and keep fighting to protect his country as soon as it would let him. Following the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, Joseph kept his word, rising to the rank of a Marine Corps Captain and serving as a JAG, continuing to fight for justice.

Quaye Quartey (CA-25)
Quaye Quartey is a first-generation Ghanaian-American, former Naval Commander, and proud husband and father. Quaye served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy, supporting counterterrorism operations on five continents before becoming a military diplomat. After retiring from the Navy, Quaye enrolled in Stanford University's Graduate School of Business, where he earned a Master's degree in Business Management. On January 6th, 2021, as Quaye watched as extremists carried out a Trump-fueled insurrection at our nation’s Capitol, he felt a call to serve his country and his community at home.

Jay Chen (CA-39)
Jay Chen is running for Congress in California's 39th Congressional District. The son of Taiwanese immigrants, Jay grew up in the district and attended local public schools, was twice elected the President of the Hacienda-La Puente School Board, and currently serves as the President of the Mt. SAC Board of Trustees. As a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserves, Jay has served honorably from the Korean peninsula to the Middle East and is committed to bringing courage, compassion, and respect for our Constitution, back to our Capitol.

Jonathan Logemann (IL-17)
Jonathan Logemann is a teacher, Rockford city alderman, and Illinois National Guardsman. Inspired by the example that his parents' set and the impact they had on their small town as educators, he has served students from distressed neighborhoods, served his country in Afghanistan, and served his community by supporting projects that created jobs and improved education in Rockford.

Congressman Seth Moulton, the founder of Serve America, said:

“Jonathan, Quaye, Jay and Joseph have served America honorably in the military. They are exactly the types of leaders Congress needs right now, in an era where members of Congress are making death threats against each other and where a large number have chosen to serve their party rather than the voters. These four leaders will help unite America and end the division that is paralyzing Congress in a moment where the people are desperate for leaders. They’ve led in harder circumstances, and I am proud to support them.”

Will you stand with Seth Moulton and Serve America by making a contribution today to help us support our endorsed candidates running for Congress in 2022?
