Hello,
On Veterans Day, we honor all who served in uniform to defend our nation and our values.
That includes reflecting on the sacrifices generations of American service members have made so that we may enjoy peace today. It also means honoring the service of the men and women, including many in our community, who fought in America’s most recent and longest conflicts. In that regard, this year’s holiday is particularly poignant — we’re observing the first Veterans Day since the end of the war in Afghanistan.
To unpack these layers of reflection, Dr. Max Klau recently spoke with four veterans about what this day means to them and what they hope it means to their fellow Americans. Listen to his conversations on the latest episode of the New Politics Podcast, a special Veterans Day episode that we released today.
To the veterans in our community, we are grateful for your service in uniform, and for your continued commitment to our Constitution and American values as citizens and political leaders.
