Jack -- neighborhoods are being torn apart and our county is being rearranged to benefit Democrats! You read that right. And it all starts this weekend.
Ever ten years, the county has to redraw lines for County Board of Supervisor election districts, and the process should be fair -- but this time San Diego Democrats have hijaked the process to benefit them. Here’s how we stop it:
First, we need Republicans in San Diego County to submit a comment ASAP to the county redistricting commission which meets on Saturday. The draft maps they proposed are TERRIBLE by splitting traditional communities of interest and stacking things in favor of incumbent Democrat politicians desperate for another political job.
We actually think advocates for San Diego’s Asian American community have developed a much BETTER map proposal that is fair to all stakeholders! If you agree, please email ([email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) ) and call (619-409-3003 (tel:6194093003) ) the Redistricting Commission TODAY and explicitly and specifically urge them to support the San Diego County Communities of Interest Redistricting Map. Second, we are retaining legal counsel and mobilizing our campaign staff to engage in a massive grassroots campaign to make sure the public engages in this crucial redistricting process. We need IMMEDIATE FUNDS to fight for fair districts. Can you contribute anything ASAP?
