Today is Veterans Day -- a time to honor the brave service members who answered the call to protect our country and our freedom.

We owe the nearly 300,000 veterans here in Kentucky and the millions across the nation a great debt of gratitude. They and their families made tremendous sacrifices to keep us safe, and many face unique challenges even after their service ends.

Our veterans deserve more than just our gratitude -- they deserve access to the resources and care they need. That's why as governor, I'm working to expand medical and mental health services, secure money for VA facilities, adopt veteran-specific training for medical professionals, and more.

Our veterans fought for us and now we must fight for them. This Veterans Day, I hope you'll join me in honoring those who have served and recommitting to looking after our veterans across the Commonwealth.
