Friend,
Today, on Veterans Day, we look back on the sacrifices that our servicemen and servicewomen have made for our country, and how we can show our gratitude for their work overseas and here at home.
We should never send our men and women into war without ensuring the care and resources they and their families need is in place when they return home. That's why I've supported and advanced measures to increase mental health resources for veterans, expand veteran entrepreneurship programs, end veteran homelessness in Virginia, and lower tuition and fees while expanding veterans’ resources on community college campuses.
We can never waver in our commitment to our veterans. Their service and sacrifice have allowed our democracy to thrive. So I will keep working to ensure that anyone who puts their life on the line to defend our country can always expect dignified care and financial security upon coming home.
So today, let us reflect on all our veterans have done for us -- and consider all that we can do for them.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
