Like many other brave Americans, Sgt. Marcus Flowers joined the U.S. Army at age 18 and spent his career serving his country in combat zones across the world.

His first overseas deployment was at an intelligence listening post in central Europe, on the doorstep of communism.

He spent a decade in combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan as a contractor with the Department of Defense, and held a top secret security clearance.

Now, Marcus is running for Congress -- in part to serve other veterans like him. He believes we must honor the brave men and women who defend our country, not just with our words, but with our actions. That includes:

• Helping veterans who struggle with mental health, homelessness, and challenges connecting to job retraining programs.
   
• Streamlining the claims system and transitioning out processes that are slow and ineffective.
   
• Cutting red tape and improving processes to ensure veterans and their families can connect to the services they need. 

The Army core values teach honor, personal courage, and selfless service -- that’s what he’ll bring to Congress. So today, we’re asking you to add your name as a sign of support for Veterans across America.
