Dear Prayer Warriors and Faithful
Catholics,
On October 29th, I
called on you and thousands of others to join me in a prayer initiative offering a Spiritual Bouquet for the intentions of the bishops of our
country as they gather in Baltimore for their annual General Assembly
(Nov 15-18).
Well, the time has come!
I am getting ready to travel to
Baltimore to be present at the Assembly.
It will be my great honor to
deliver to the bishops, in
person, the Spiritual
Bouquet we have patiently been amassing these past weeks with our two
primary intentions:
- Above
all, for the spiritual wellbeing of the bishops, and
- That
they will confront the challenges facing the Church with steadfast
faith and courage in order to make decisions in accordance with God’s
Will.
I encourage you to continue to
storm heaven with your prayers from this point on until I
am able to hand this Spiritual Bouquet over to the bishops at some
point during the week. All prayers, even those not “tabulated” on the
list are certainly honored before the Throne of God in
heaven.
But I want you to know that you can
still add more
intentions to your
original pledge during the next 24 hours. So make sure to go to
our pledge page and add your prayer intentions.
I would also ask you to pass this
email on to others so that they can add to our Spiritual Bouquet. We
know that prayer can move mountains – even mountains of
bishops!
There’s no time like the present,
and as you know, there is a great deal at stake in this decisive
moment for the Catholic Church in the US.
Thank you for your generous
participation in our Spiritual Bouquet for the bishops, and I look
forward to giving you an update soon after I deliver the prayer
blessings to our shepherds!
Sincerely yours in
Christ,
Thomas J. McKenna
