 Hey, Daily Wire’s legal counsel here. You heard from Jeremy earlier about the importance of our legal battle, but I wanted to personally reach out to you as well and explain what’s happening. Here at The Daily Wire, we are SUING the Biden Administration for their unconstitutional and tyrannical vaccine mandate.
We’re outraged, and so are others. Just recently, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals granted a temporary stay to suspend the vaccine mandate… for now. It’s a huge win, but it’s volatile and could run out at any moment. We need to prepare for the worst so we’re ready should the stay expire.
Here’s a bit of background on the mandate:
The federal government is making unprecedented use of a rarely-used administrative procedure known as an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) under the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which is responsible for making sure workers have safe workplace conditions.
The Biden administration is using this ETS to classify tens of millions of Americans as workplace hazards solely based on their non-vaccination status. This is wrong. Vaccination is a medical choice outside of work, and OSHA was never supposed to be used to classify people as hazardous substances.
To punish workers for a medical choice that does not impact their work and force them to comply is unlawful, not to mention immoral. This turns employers into the COVID vaccination police. The federal government cannot compel employers to force private employees to undergo medical treatments, especially under the guise of a false emergency.
This is not just unlawful...this is an unprecedented level of government overreach.
Here at The Daily Wire, our leadership has encouraged vaccinations, but we also respect our workers’ personal medical decisions and the various legitimate reasons why some of our workers choose not to be vaccinated. It would violate our beliefs to force our workers into making a medical choice that might not be right for them.
And we’re not just fighting for our own workers — we are fighting for yours too. If this mandate survives our legal challenges, OSHA wants to expand it to all small businesses. That’s why we’ve filed a lawsuit to stop them.
