Dear John,

Today is Veterans Day, a time for us to come together as a nation to honor our former military members and express our gratitude for their service.

As the daughter of a veteran, I have seen firsthand the sacrifices that the brave servicemen and women have made for our country. Our veterans have gone above and beyond to protect America's freedoms and prosperity, and we would not be where we are today without their service.

For me, honoring America's veterans means supporting America's veterans and ensuring they have access to the resources and services they need. When our soldiers come home, they shouldn't have to worry about where their next meal will come from or whether they'll have a roof over their heads. We should keep our promise to ensure their needs are met.

We have already secured important funding for those experiencing homelessness in the Denver area but there is still much more to do.

I'll always fight to have our veterans' backs. That includes saying, "Thank you for your service," today and every day, but it goes far beyond that. It must include meaningful action to support our former service members.

Have a safe and healthy Veterans Day,

Diana
