To all of our veterans,

Today I want to take a moment and thank all of you. Without you, we would not enjoy living in a democracy where we get to vote for those who represent us in government.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service to our state and our country.

You protect the freedoms that allow us to vote in elections, run for office, and live up to the values we all believe in. Thank you for the sacrifices you have made.
