[2]National Nurses United

Hey there,

I wanted to share some very promising news from one of our four priority districts!

Following the car caravan in Davis, California on Saturday, one of the
largest local TV news networks in Sacramento dedicated an entire segment
to our campaign – naming Rep. John Garamendi and our demand to get him to
co-sponsor the Medicare for All Act of 2021.

This kind of news coverage is key to building the pressure on Rep.
Garamendi. [ [link removed] ]Can you help keep up the momentum and put more pressure on
Rep. Garamendi by sharing this news clip so we can get even more eyes on
it?

We know our pressure is working. A day before our car
caravan and after we placed an ad in the local newspaper highlighting
Garamendi’s record, Rep. Garamendi himself called the organizer of the car
caravan on Friday directly from the House floor during a busy day of
legislation Congress — a clear sign that our organizing is bringing the
heat!

By hitting the streets, we were able to generate a wave of pressure that
was amplified in the media and got the attention of the representative.
This is exactly the kind of local pressure campaign that we know works. We
just have to keep at it.

More
national attention from across the country is vital to
carrying our momentum across the finish line.

news segment and together we can secure another co-sponsor of Medicare for
All.

Grateful to you all,
