On a personal note, the selflessness of America’s service members is the only reason why I’m alive today. When I stepped on an enemy IED in Afghanistan, I would have been left for dead had it not been for the quick action of my brothers on the battlefield. They ran directly TOWARD the sound of the explosion even though they knew it could put their own lives at risk.
So, if there is a veteran in your life, I hope you’ll thank them today for their service and sacrifice. And, if you’re a veteran yourself, allow me to again say thank you for bravely defending our nation!
