John, today, we honor the incredible contributions and sacrifices veterans have made for our country. They have selflessly put everything on the line in order to protect and strengthen our American values, and for that, we thank them.

Having 10 veterans in my own family, I’m familiar with the hardships that come from serving. While today is dedicated to commemorating our veterans, we shouldn’t stop here — many of our former service members struggle economically, mentally, or physically and have been left behind by politicians in DC. I’m determined to change that.

I can promise you this: I won’t just honor our veterans on November 11th. I’ll honor them everyday by fighting for policies that will support them and give them the resources they need to live healthy, happy lives.

Today and always, we thank our veterans.
