Hey,
Once again, Veterans Day comes at a time of change.
We've left old wars behind and look forward to a new future. We've lost many of our oldest veterans in the midst of a pandemic, and their children and grandchildren have enlisted for service in a very different world.
As we make plans for the year ahead, and soon a post-pandemic world, it's important we remember that serving our veterans requires action, not just words.
This year, I've worked with my colleagues to ensure that veterans and their families receive the relief and support they need in a time of record unemployment. I look forward to continuing that vital work and helping to create new jobs through a transformational infrastructure plan.
Though we can never fully repay the debt we owe our veterans for their service, today is an important time to honor and thank the brave men and women who serve our nation and to remember the promises we've made.
Thank you to each of you who have served and fought on behalf of our great nation. I'm committed to fighting for you in the United States Senate, and with the support of your neighbors, we will deliver results.
