John, today is Veterans Day, and we all owe our military veterans a debt of gratitude, not just today, but every day.
They were willing to risk everything for us and the very least we can do is say thank you, to them and to their family members who shared in the sacrifice of their service.
As the mother of a Marine veteran, I work with my colleagues on the House Veterans Affairs Committee to ensure that our veterans have access to the resources they need to succeed in civilian life — from quality education, to affordable housing, to good-paying jobs, to healthcare and mental health services.
So take a moment today to thank a veteran in your life, and emulate their love of country and love of community, so we can create a future that is worthy of their sacrifice.
Always,
Lois
