Friend,
As a nation, we have a responsibility to care for our veterans.
We all owe it to them to make sure they have the employment opportunities, community support, health care, and
everything else needed to transition back to civilian life.
Unfortunately, we haven't been able to meet our obligation in a manner truly reflective of their sacrifice.
It's why I'm fighting in Congress to pass critical pieces of legislation that will greatly benefit our veterans. The REACH Act would expand the Veterans Crisis Line through extensive training for call staff and overall improvements to the hotline for veterans in crisis. The MST Survivors Act would ensure that survivors of military sexual trauma get the deserved and needed comprehensive support through the Veterans Benefits Administration.
Over the past 2 weeks, you all took it upon yourselves to become citizen co-sponsors of these critical pieces of legislation. Friend, thank you for this -- because it was a pivotal step in passing bills that directly positively impact our veterans.
We've made strides, but there's still
plenty of work to do when it comes to providing our veterans with the support they need.
Let's make sure we advocate for them not just on Veterans Day, but every day.
To all our veterans and their families, thank you for your service and for your sacrifice. I am honored and deeply humbled by the opportunity to represent you, and will continue to fight for you in Congress.
With love,
Antonio
