WOBURN -- As Veterans Day events continue to unfold across the commonwealth, Massachusetts Republican Party Chairman Jim Lyons said he is proud to honor all Americans who've served in the armed services.

"Americans celebrate Veterans Day on the anniversary of the ending of World War I in 1918, an armistice established in earnest on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month," said Lyons. "America's veterans are a special group, they know what it means to selflessly serve and sacrifice, and we owe them a heartfelt debt of gratitude."

Added MassGOP Veterans Coalition Co-Chairman John McDonald:

"As co-chairman of the MassGOP Veterans Coalition, I want to thank all our veterans in Massachusetts for their honor, duty, and sacrifice to our beloved nation."
