This Sunday, I was proud to march in the annual Philadelphia Veterans Day Parade. Every year, we salute the Americans who served our country and those still in uniform here and overseas.

Pennsylvania is home to over 800,000 of our family, friends, and neighbors who have served. The peace and privileges our nation holds are only made possible because of the thousands of brave Americans who selflessly risked their lives to keep the rest of us safe.

In Congress, I work to make sure we honor these heroes by fighting for them as they fought for us. Reintegration into civilian life presents a multitude of challenges. It's crucial we secure for our veterans the quality health care, student loan forgiveness, mental health services, job training, affordable housing, and other federal services they need to succeed.

Today, if you know any veterans, please take time to thank them for their service. And to our veterans here at home: thank you for serving. I will keep fighting for you in Congress and your loved ones who also make generous sacrifices for our nation.
