Veterans Day is an important day for our nation. Each year, we come together and honor the courageous men and women who served in our nation's Armed Forces, risked their lives and made tremendous personal sacrifices for the freedoms we all enjoy today.

Serving means leaving families and homes to defend our nation from foreign and domestic threats while also upholding our constitution -- and we greatly appreciate that service to our country.

I am honored to represent thousands of veterans in Congress. I've worked to make sure that our veterans will always have access to quality healthcare, support in finding employment when they transition to civilian life, and protection from discrimination of any kind. We cannot do enough.

To all our veterans and their families, today and every day, thank you for your service.
