After 19 years of military service and law enforcement, Al suffered a heart attack and kidney failure. He wasn't going to let that stop him. But the 2-plus years seeking veteran benefits left Al without income and eventually homeless. VOA was there, with emergency shelter, and resources that Al would use to become independent again. You're invited to the Moral Injury Conference

Extended Early Bird Rates, to November 15. Join the nationwide conversation on moral injury. It affects many people, not just veterans, but COVID healthcare workers, journalists, incarcerated people, chaplains, and others. The conference takes place at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, and is hosted by the Cathedral and the Shay Moral Injury Center at Volunteers of America. The keynote speaker will be RADM Margaret Kibben (USN retired), Chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives.

This event will be in-person and live-streamed.
