Today is Veterans Day, and I want to say thank you to all of the veterans and service families for the sacrifices they’ve made for our country.

Having served in Afghanistan and Iraq as a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I know firsthand some of the challenges that members of the military face when they return home. I know that the best way to honor our veterans is to help ensure that when their service to our nation is completed, they have access to the benefits they earned and the support they need.

That’s why I made a promise as your representative to look out for Maine’s veterans and ensure that they have someone fighting for them in Congress as hard as they fought to defend our country.

It’s the privilege of a lifetime to be able to fight to improve the lives of our veterans and secure them the resources they need when they return home.
