96http://www.fischbachforcongress.com/ John,

I would like to
take a few moments today to express my gratitude to all of our military
veterans.

President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed Armistice Day a
national holiday in 1926 to recognize the veterans of World War I. And
in 1954, Congress officially changed Armistice Day to Veterans Day to
honor all who had served.

More than 60 years later, Veterans Day is
still an important reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the men and
women who have served our country in the U.S. Armed Forces.

From the
greens of Lexington and Concord to the streets of Kabul and Baghdad,
U.S. soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines have fought valiantly to
keep America free. And we owe them a debt of gratitude that can never be
repaid.

So I hope you will join me today in thanking our veterans for
their service to our great country.

- Michelle

P.S. Although their
service is finished, our veterans are not forgotten. Free, confidential
support is available 24/7 for veterans in crisis and their families and
friends. Please call the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255 and
Press 1 or text to 838255.
