John, on this Veterans Day, we honor all who have served our nation in the
Armed Services. Their courage and sacrifices are so vital to protecting our
freedoms.

 

Our family has a long history of military service, with fathers, uncles and
grandfathers who served in WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. We are so proud to
honor what they have done for our country.

 

Today, Fran and I are on the road visiting the Ohio Veterans Homes in
Georgetown and Sandusky. Both homes offer veterans care and a quality of life
emphasizing respect, encouraging independence, and providing comfort and
security to meet veterans' social and medical needs.

 

Additionally, I am traveling to Edison High School in Milan to honor Maxton
Soviak. I admire his bravery as an American hero who made the ultimate
sacrifice for his country during Operation Allies Refuge this past summer. 

 

To all veterans, Ohio thanks you for your service and all that you've done to
keep us safe.
