Today, we honor those who have risked their lives and put our country and our democracy before themselves.

I am forever grateful for the sacrifices our veterans, service members, and military families have made and continue to make every day.

As Attorney General, I work for over 750,000 veterans in Pennsylvania. It’s an honor and a responsibility that I take seriously, and I believe we have an obligation to care for our veterans and their families when they return home.

No one who has bravely served our country should have to worry about access to health care, affordable housing, or providing for their families. The stories of the veterans and their families I meet across our Commonwealth struggling to get by inspire me to take up this fight — and today, I’m thinking of the veterans I’ve had the privilege to learn from, and the families I’ve been lucky enough to spend time with.

To all of our veterans and service members across Pennsylvania, and America — thank you. We’re forever grateful for your commitment to our country.
