John,
My name is Elaine Luria and I represent Virginia’s second district in Congress.
I’m also a 20-year Navy veteran. And on this Veterans Day, I want to share with you why helping our veterans and thanking them for their service is so important.
But before I do that, would you consider splitting a $25 donation between my campaign and Hold the House? With the 2022 midterms under a year away, our House majority is at risk, and we need your support.

As a veteran myself, I understand what veterans need. That’s part of why I ran for Congress -- to be a leader who empathizes and recognizes the urgency to protect our veterans and expand their rights.
When our service members leave the military, it’s quite an adjustment returning to civilian life. Many struggle with PTSD, finding new work, and locating new shelter.
That’s why I’ve made it one of my top priorities in Congress to fund mental health resources for veterans, help them find new jobs, and ensure they have safe and affordable housing.
I take pride in being one of the foremost champions for veterans’ rights in the House and we need more strong veterans’ rights advocates in Congress.
With Terry McAuliffe’s defeat in Virginia two weeks ago, the stakes have never been higher for my seat and our House majority. Republicans are going to try and flip VA-02 red and prevent me from further working on protecting our veterans.
Will you chip in a split donation of $25 or more between my campaign and Hold the House so we can maintain our Democratic House majority and continue safeguarding veterans’ rights and health?

I hope you take some time today to reflect on the sacrifices veterans have made for this country, and thank any veterans that you have in your life.
Thank you,
Rep. Elaine Luria (VA-02)
