Watching the towers fall on 9/11, I dedicated my life to service. 12-years and three Middle East deployments later, with our Country rebounding from 20-years of continuous war, I am grateful that service for me no longer means hunting and killing our enemies, but instead serving those who served.
As the Vice-Chairman of the bipartisan Veterans' Caucus in the Florida Legislature, I am proud of the 23 Veterans bills so far filed for the upcoming legislative session. Topics ranging from employments and job licensing that recognize the service and experience of our Veterans, recognition and rededication to the epidemic of Veteran suicide, and helping our Veterans more easily access their VA home loans in today's hot real estate market.
We have come so far, and we will continue this fight together ensuring that Florida remains the most Veteran-Friendly state in the Union.
