Today, as we honor our nation's veterans, I'm reflecting on how we all have so much to learn from these patriots; their selflessness and courage is only surpassed by their love of country. 

When you choose to serve our nation in uniform, all that is meant to divide us disappears and you make a commitment to fight for the same cause -- the cause of freedom. And many have made the ultimate sacrifice so others may know the blessings of liberty. 

So as we remember their sacrifices, we should live every day like today -- with immense gratitude for our veterans, reverence for our military, and a strong sense of pride to all be Americans. After all, America is the last bastion of freedom and that is worth fighting for.
