But first, I want to tell you about my service in the Navy...

After I graduated from law school, I answered the call to serve my country and volunteered to serve in the United States Navy.

Just one year after my wife Zeina and I got married, I volunteered for a combat deployment to Afghanistan.

While stationed near Kandahar City, Afghanistan the birthplace of the Taliban I coordinated with Special Forces units to help them track down and arrest suspected terrorist suicide bombers. Our work saved countless lives.

But wearing the American flag on my sleeve made me a target, and I was fortunate to survive two suicide bombing attacks.

Now, everything I and thousands of other soldiers fought for and even died for in Afghanistan has been undone by Biden’s failed military withdrawal.

This failure has left Americans and our allies stranded, left our weaponry and supplies in the hands of the Taliban, and resulted in more deaths of innocent civilians including woman and children along with American troops.

Yet Biden, my opponent Katie Porter, and the Democrats have moved on and are seemingly ignoring what happened and what is still happening.

This failure, combined with the lack of security at our southern border which would permit even terrorists to cross unnoticed, means America is less safe than it was a year ago.

There’s absolutely no doubt American needs new leadership, and I’m running for Congress to give it to us. [link removed]
