Maggie's List Endorses
Tamika Hamilton for
California's 3rd District
A veteran that’s ready to take on the D.C. elite

Washington, D.C. — Maggie’s List, a federal political action committee (PAC) dedicated to electing fiscally conservative women to federal office and statewide executive office, is proud to announce the endorsement of Tamika Hamilton for California’s 3rd Congressional district.

Hamilton embodies the traits of a candidate supported by Maggie’s List. Her impressive resume includes 14 years of active duty in the Air Force, having been stationed at five different bases and two deployments in the Middle East as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. During her military career, Hamilton was awarded several prestigious medals, including the Air Force Achievement Medal, Joint Service Accommodation Medal, Air Force Meritorious Unit Award and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

“It’s a pleasure to have the support of such a reputable organization such as Maggie’s List,” states Tamika Hamilton, Republican candidate for California’s third Congressional district. “Very few organizations have done more to support conservative women and put conservative ideas into action. It’s such an honor to have their endorsement.”

This latest endorsement from Maggie’s List comes on the heels of the Lake County Republican Party’s official endorsement of Tamika Hamilton for Congress last week and adds to the growing momentum and enthusiasm for Tamika’s candidacy nationally.

Tamika and her husband Ray Hamilton live in Dixon, California with their four children Kaedyn, Gabriella, Ryan and Beau. Ray is a US Navy veteran and now serves in the community as a police officer. Both Ray and Tamika are active in their local church and volunteer in their community. Tamika’s experience with homeless veterans inspired her to run for Congress.

“Just from talking to Tamika, you can tell she is a strong woman of faith who loves and has a deep dedication to her country, family and local community,” states Jeanne Kysar-Carey, Maggie’s List State Co-Chair. “Tamika is ready to provide solutions to our ongoing homelessness crisis and will approach issues such as immigration, housing affordability and healthcare with the thoughtful and common sense approach that has defined her excellent military career.”

Welcome our new California Co-Chair,
Jeanne Kysar-Carey

Jeanne Kysar-Carey was born and raised in the wide open spaces of Wyoming by Christian parents that are still married after 63 years of marriage.

Kysar-Carey moved to California in the eighties and has called California her home for more than 20 years. Kysar-Carey understands hard work as she was a single parent, raising a successful son on her own while working full time and attending college to get her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming, and her Master’s Degree from the University of San Francisco.

Kysar-Carey has traveled extensively within the US and abroad and due to her knowledge of other countries wouldn’t choose to call any other country her home. Kysar loves the outdoors, ultra-running (though that has been on hold for the last two years) and has a love for the environment. Kysar-Carey is  a history buff and wants to preserve the history that made the United States the great country that it is.

Kysar-Carey has never forgotten her roots and upbringing which centers around a love for God, family , her country and the veterans that have served on her behalf.

Kysar-Carey joined Maggie’s list to ensure that the values close to her heart are upheld.  She sees a need for conservative women in politics that can work on behalf of veterans, the family unit, foster children, healthcare reform, and education reform for American citizens.

Remembering Missy Shorey
The Shorey and Himelhoch families wish to thank all those who contributed to the Missy Shorey Tree Fund. Thanks to your generous donations, Missy now has a place of remembrance in one of our favorite date spots, the Dallas Arboretum. Missy had fond memories of the cherry blossoms from her time living in Washington DC, therefore we have dedicated a Cherry Tree in her name.

The attached maps and photo will help you locate Missy’s tree on your next visit to the Dallas Arboretum. You may also ask the visitors center for help in locating her tree. We encourage all Missy’s loved ones to visit and take some time to reflect in silence on the tremendous impact Missy had in your personal life and in this world. Thank You.

Sincerely-
Marc Himelhoch
