Dear John,
Thanks to the support of people like you, I’m here at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) as the Founder of One Million of Us and a Youth Ambassador of Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC), along with my fellow PPC Youth Ambassadors: Xiye Bastida, Kevin J Patel, Jerome Foster, Lilly Platt, and Aeshnina `Nina’ Azzahra. We’re demanding that world leaders take action NOW on plastics and fossil fuels to solve the climate crisis. There is no time to waste!
DOUBLE your impact with a gift to Plastic Pollution Coalition today!
Plastic is a major contributor to climate change. 99% of plastic is made from fossil fuels, so more single-use plastic means more
fossil fuel extraction, production, and greenhouse gas emissions—and more serious impacts to our health and planet.
Please join in support of our 10 calls to action for world leaders at COP26: 1. Eliminate non-essential single-use plastic 2. Invest in a circular economy 3. Work towards environmental justice 4. Allocate resources for climate action 5. Address human exposure to toxic chemicals 6. Educate the public on the impacts of plastic - from production to disposal 7. Address water pollution by fossil fuel and petrochemical companies 8. Address air pollution by fossil fuel and petrochemical companies 9. Provide equitable, democratic recourse for communities most affected by plastic pollution 10.
Take immediate action to end the climate crisis
In December, youth activists from around the world will be gathering in Paris, where the historic Agreement was signed, to create our roadmap for countering the massive injustices happening around the world from plastic pollution and the environmental health and climate crises.
As youth, we must be part of the conversation, and we are grateful that PPC is providing a platform to uplift our voices. Plastic Pollution Coalition needs your support now to keep amplifying our voices!
Your gift will be DOUBLED thanks to a generous match. Will you help DOUBLE your impact by donating to Plastic Pollution Coalition today?
Thanks for all you do to support youth voices in our efforts to solve plastic pollution and the climate crisis! Jerome Foster II On behalf of PPC Youth Ambassadors at COP26, including Xiye Bastida, Kevin J. Patel, Jerome Foster, Lilly Platt, and Aeshnina `Nina’ Azzahra. |
