Lucy and our whole campaign team are keeping an eye on that case, too, but our attention is also on the Supreme Court right now. Last week, our nation’s highest court began to hear a case that could easily deliver the gun lobby their biggest victory in months — or even years, John. The NRA backed all three of Trump’s justices — no matter what — in their confirmation hearings. It’s easy now to see why. As they hear Bruen vs. New York State, The Supreme Court’s new hyper-conservative majority may gut common-sense gun safety measures like background checks on gun sales, assault weapons bans, and red-flag laws. If they do, we have to be ready to codify our gun safety priorities. >> Support Lucy’s fight for common-sense gun safety reform << It gets worse: That same dynamic, a 5-4 split decision with Trump’s Justices pushing the Court — and our country — in a dangerous far-right direction, could just as easily happen when Roe v Wade faces its most serious challenge yet starting in December. If either of these cases goes the wrong way — we must be ready to take action in Congress with Lucy leading the way.
