John, I have been drawn into a district with another Republican member of Congress-- David McKinley.  And I'm going to be blunt. David McKinley's voting record speaks for itself. Last week he joined Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi to vote yes on their radical $1.2 TRILLION dollar Infrastructure Bill. $1,200,000,000,000 ‐ ONE TRILLION TWO HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS ‐ you read that right ‐ there are ELEVEN zeros in the price of the Infrastructure Bill he switched sides to vote for on Thursday night. What a disgrace.
The worst part about it is that it isn't just rampant irresponsible spending ‐ it's also a wish list full of liberal priorities like $7.5 billion for EV charging stations. And get this ‐ $5 billion for electric school busses! This bill radically ramps up taxes of my constituents for an INSIGNIFICANT fraction of the benefit ‐ all while Nancy Pelosi and her liberal cronies get billions dedicated to their own interests and priorities. I believe as a conservative Republican, and a member of the Freedom Caucus, it is my DUTY to FIGHT and VOTE against radical bills like this. Unfortunately, my opponent in the Republican primary does not feel the same ‐ he's willing to sell out the people of West Virginia for cheap political points.
The last thing Democrats want is principled conservatives like me fighting for YOU.
