Big Pharma doesn’t want us to elect progressive leaders who will work to hold them accountable.

Big Pharma’s lobbyists have been busy. They’re directly trying to influence members as we craft the Build Back Better Act, and they’re running millions of dollars worth of ads in swing districts across the country, trying to convince voters that drug pricing reform would hurt patients.
But that’s simply not the case. I’ve been fighting to make sure the Build Back Better Act includes a provision to allow Medicare to negotiate the price of prescription drugs. This would drive down the cost of some of the most commonly needed prescription medicines.
The Build Back Better Act also includes a limit on the cost of insulin and a cap on how much seniors have to spend on their prescriptions each year. This would make a real difference in the lives of so many. Big Pharma may be loud, but I’m standing up for what’s right for real people. That’s why I want to hear from you: How would lowering the cost of prescription drug prices benefit you or someone you know?
