Compared to other wealthy nations, America consistently ranks poorly when it comes to infrastructure. We have been talking about our crumbling infrastructure without taking any action for far too long.

That all changed last week, when the Democratic Congress passed a historic and bipartisan $1 trillion investment in our infrastructure nationwide.

Here are some highlights of the spending package:

• $40 billion for bridges
• $66 billion for Amtrak and rail
• $7.5 billion for electric vehicle charging stations
• $5 billion for clean energy buses
• $55 billion for drinking water
• $65 billion for broadband
• $73 billion for clean energy and the power grid

Democrats ran on the promise of historic investment in our roads, bridges, broadband, and utility systems. And now, Democrats have delivered.
