Friend,
It can be hard sometimes to see beyond the wins and losses of a particular election. While last week’s results were not what we’d hoped for, Virginia Democrats still have a lot to be proud of – and a lot to look forward to. Under Governors Northam and McAuliffe, our commonwealth saw more progressive and positive change than we’ve seen in decades. Their leadership laid the groundwork for a future that’s better for ALL Virginians, and for that I’m grateful.
Politics in this country have gotten way too polarized. The work we’re doing in Richmond isn’t about a partisan agenda. It’s about doing what’s right for our community. We need more equity, better education, affordable healthcare, and higher paying jobs. As Virginia Democrats, we still have a lot to fight for. So let’s take a minute, shake it off, and continue fighting for the future we all want and deserve.
