Nurturing the Mind: Mental Health and Working in Progressive Politics

On Mon., Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. ET join Jessica Angima, Meg Hovious, and T. Iman Parker for an interactive workshop on how to weave mental health and wellness practices into your day-to-day experience before, during, and after your next campaign job. Learn how to build resilience during your job search, establish wellness practices that can support you as a cycle-to-cycle campaigner, and nurture yourself between cycles. We'll talk about everything from managing imposter syndrome; to the relationship between unionization and sustainability in the fast-paced world of #campaignlife; to what to do when you just want to scream or cry (hint: sometimes you just gotta). February Arena Academy Info Session

The next Arena Academy will be held online from Feb. 3-7. Join us Nov. 17 for a virtual info session to learn more about each track, how to make your application stand out, and get your questions answered. RSVP to the info session >>

Arena Academy is a five-day training for current and aspiring campaign staff looking to level up their skills. Participants select from one of seven tracks: Campaign Manager, Communications, Data, Digital, Finance, Organizing, and Organizing Director. The hands-on training culminates with the Arena Cup, a campaign simulation in which you'll work together on a team to build a winning campaign plan.

After graduating from Arena Academy, our Arena Careers team works to match Academy graduates with jobs on campaigns and at progressive organizations around the country. To date, Arena-trained staffers have landed more than 700 jobs on campaigns or at progressive organizations.

Registration for Arena Academy costs $300, and scholarships are available.
