A secret tape made after Columbine shows the NRA's evolution on school shootings

After what was, at the time, the worst mass shooting in United States history, the NRA was focused on one thing: Their reputation. They worried about the embarrassment of the NRA – not the lives at risk. They spread NRA talking points to their bought-and-paid-for politicians. Wayne LaPierre went so far as to describe some NRA members as “nuts.” 

These tapes reinforce what we already knew to be true: The NRA does not care about their members or the American people – they are worried about themselves and their profits. It’s time to finally end their reign of terror. 

Brady has fought for decades to end the NRA’s stranglehold on our democracy. Now we are closer than ever before, but we need your help to do it. The NRA has cheated U.S. taxpayers in pursuit of an extremist agenda that has made our country less safe – and their time for consequences is long overdue.
