After what was, at the time, the worst mass shooting in United States history, the NRA was focused on one thing: Their reputation. They worried about the embarrassment of the NRA – not the lives at risk. They spread NRA talking points to their bought-and-paid-for politicians. Wayne LaPierre went so far as to describe some NRA members as “nuts.”
These tapes reinforce what we already knew to be true: The NRA does not care about their members or the American people – they are worried about themselves and their profits. It’s time to finally end their reign of terror.
