Are you coming tonight, John?
We're coming to you one last time with a personal invitation:
Will you join our virtual op-ed training TONIGHT, November 10, at 8:00 p.m. We're looking for a lot more folks to join our training about how to combat right-wing narratives about anti-racist education in our schools. Click here to RSVP right now.
We all saw the ugly result of this GOP strategy play out in Virginia's elections last Tuesday. The right wing has created a narrative that parents — especially white parents — don’t want their children to learn about racism.
We can't let this narrative go unanswered and unchallenged, so we're looking for a lot more people on this team to join tonight's training. Will you RSVP to tonight's training about how to craft a compelling op-ed to your local paper about why it's crucial for our kids to learn about racism in schools?
Thanks, and see you tonight,
— Women's March

This is serious, John.
In the past year, school boards and state legislatures across our country have been targeted with relentless attacks on important anti-racist education and truth-telling in schools.
Now, some states are even debating banning books by celebrated Black authors, like Nobel laureate Toni Morrison.1
These attacks are designed by right-wing strategists, and carried out on the ground predominantly by white parents. By flooding public meetings, elected officials’ email inboxes, and the news media with a frenzy of fear for their children, the right wing has created a national narrative that parents — especially white parents — don’t want their children to learn about racism.
But together, we have the power to amplify another narrative. And we're calling on Women's Marchers to lend our voices to this important fight.
This training is aimed at parents and caregivers who want to contest the right-wing narrative by voicing why they want their children to learn the truth about racism and inequality. The training session is organized and led by Narrative Initiative, Showing Up for Racial Justice, the Women’s March, 22nd Century Initiative and NYU Metro Center.
Our children deserve to know the truth about our history — so it's on all of us to take action.
In solidarity,
Women’s March
