Friend,
We must pass the Build Back Better Act and finally address the crises of climate change, childcare, and unaffordable prescription drugs.
By investing over $500 billion to address the climate crisis, the Build Back Better Act will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create green jobs, protect public resources, and make corporations pay their fair share.
Our legislation also caps childcare costs at no more than 7% of a family’s income and establishes universal pre-k for all children. Every 3- and 4-year old will benefit from early learning while freeing families and caregivers from having to choose between looking after their little ones and a paycheck.
And we will finally allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug costs with the big pharmaceutical companies so that folks aren’t paying thousands of dollars out of pocket for the medicine they need.
Those are my priorities, and now I want to hear yours. It’s been a tumultuous few weeks, and your priorities should be reflected in the Build Back Better agenda we’re aiming to pass.
Will you take a minute or two to fill out my November priorities survey? Hearing directly from folks like you is one of the most important aspects of my job. [[link removed]]
