John,

From wildfires to unprecedented droughts, there has been no shortage of terrifying headlines about the climate crisis in California. In fact, Woodland Hills hit a record 121 degrees last year, the highest temperature ever recorded in Los Angeles County.

And what's even scarier is that Republicans like Mike Garcia don't seem to be paying attention, let alone care.

We cannot afford to wait to take meaningful action on climate change. We need legislators who are ready to tackle big problems with tough solutions.

Please, chip in $5 or whatever you can to help send Mike packing in 2022. I've lived in California since I was 10 years old. I've seen our changing climate firsthand -- but even after last year's destruction, Mike Garcia has done nothing to brace our district for the changes ahead. Not only does he refuse to stand up against climate change, he won't even try to protect our community against the disasters it causes.

Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away. We're already running out of time to save our planet -- we can't afford to re-elect a representative who doesn't believe there's any work to be done. Climate action isn't just about the environment, it's also about protecting public health, bolstering our economy by expanding green energy, and strengthening our national security.

There is plenty we can do to combat this crisis and deliver good paying jobs in the process. The recently proposed jobs plan will help us transition to a green economy and invest in climate-resilient infrastructure that will secure our future for generations to come.

John, the climate crisis will be one of the greatest challenges of our lifetime -- we need to take meaningful action now.

If you agree, contribute any amount to help unseat Mike and elect a leader who will always work to protect our home.

Thank you,

-- Christy
